A couple of nights ago, as I had just finished cleaning the dishes, I remember hearing an extremely loud “ding” from my phone. At that moment, I didn’t overthink it – I just assumed that it was another notification from Instagram or Facebook. I walked to my desk to check my phone, and when I tapped on the screen, a notification that said “1 new email” popped up. Receiving an email didn’t come to me as a big surprise because I have been receiving so many promotions and spam emails.

Thank you so much for selecting me to be a recipient of the KDSF scholarship. I am genuinely so touched that KDSF has been supporting me each year during these past four years of college. I feel like it was just yesterday when I received my first scholarship at KDSF as a freshman and now I am already a senior graduating this upcoming year. These past four years have been such a difficult journey emotionally and financially, yet I am so thankful for your continuous support and your prayers.
